There are lots of great pizza places in Tulsa but one of the consistent favorites is Hideaway Pizza. This week we took some co-workers to the one on Cherry Street to thank them for some work they had done. It was a big hit, as expected.
The Hideaway originated in Stillwater but now has branches in Tulsa and OKC. They have just recently brought back their original 1957 thin crust and it is fantastic. They have a great menu and lots of choices for specialty pies or you can have the regular standards and create your own. For lunch we all had the Chicken Florentine, yum! With a pesto sauce the chicken, spinach and feta cheese really stand-out. Be sure to bring real friends that will tell you there is something green in your teeth for this one!!!
Another stand-out is Pizza of the Gods, a hearty meatless choice that lets artichokes, tomatoes and mushrooms steal the show and enhance the olive oil and garlic sauce. My husband is a big fan of the Big Country. Vegetarians beware!! This is an all meat pie on red sauce that will please the heartiest of appetites.
Hideaway offers a really great lunch special that is perfect for sharing. Order the six slice pie of your choice and get two Just a Beginner salads. Great price for a filling meal. And from the Starters the mushroom caps are a huge favorite. Who wouldn't love something fried with ranch dressing??? The garlic bread also has great flavor and lots of gooey cheese.
So, if you are looking for great pizza and want to try some unique varieties, I recommend you check our Hideaway Pizza. You find something good for anyone in your crowd.
